Thera South West has an exciting opportunity available for a Female Support Worker to join our team in Calne. You'll join us on a permanent basis, with full-time, and part-time hours available. In return, you will receive a competitive salary ofup to £27,023.78 per annum (Salary is based on 2 Sleep ins a week £45 per sleep in)

About the Female Support Worker role:

As a valued Support Worker with Thera Southwest, you will be part of an inclusive team supporting adults with a learning disability. You will be working in Calne the location is a shared supported living mixed house where 3 individuals who love shopping, going out for lunch, cinema, going out to their social clubs, sports and going to the pub .This is an exciting opportunity to work with different individuals with different needs which will give a varied working week and opportunities to use a variety of skills you already have or would like to develop for career progression.

You will be working alongside other staff where there is a real sense of teamwork, supporting people in their daily lives at home or getting out in the community with people. This can be a fun and rewarding but also at times challenging and demanding role.

What do you need to become our Female Support Worker?

• No previous experience or qualifications required, Free, Skills for Care endorsed full training will be provided
• Compassionate, caring, confident and resilient
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter, with a high level of motivation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confident, articulate, and professional
• Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems
• Desire to embrace our values and vision and have fun!

Specific training will be provided to help you in your role. This will include:

• Rapport building and developing a positive and meaningful relationships
• Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) to help reinforce a positive relationship between yourself and me
• Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to help you understand the purpose and function of any behaviours that may seem different
• Mental Health Awareness and understanding well-being
• Regular debriefing meetings
