Job description

We are currently recruiting experienced support staff to work with Chloe, a lady living in the Carluke area of South Lanarkshire. She is looking to build a team who can support her on a 2:1 basis 24 hours a day. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to develop their already existing support skills and to be involved in helping Chloe to re-engage with her community.

“I am Chloe and I am 49 years old. I am clever, fun, friendly, polite and good company. I have been told I have a lovely smile!

I have a great relationship with my Mum and Dad and we meet up weekly, usually involving a visit to a coffee shop.

I live with Autism and a visual impairment and I experience and enjoy life using all my other senses. Sensory experiences such as massage, baking and playing percussion instruments are really important to me. I love singing my favourite nursery rhymes and reading books, especially Beatrix Potter.

I use touch and smell to identify my favourite books and dolls. Listening to classical music and Smooth Radio are some of my daily pastimes.

I need help with mobility and do daily exercises to build my strength and need help with equipment with two members of staff to assist me in my daily routines which are very important to me. ”

What I am looking for…

  • Someone who is calm and laidback with a strong personality but not overwhelming.
  • Someone who is patient.
  • Someone who is positive.
  • Someone who is not to chatty and knows when to be quiet when the time is right.

Shifts are 12hrs - 8-8
