Job description

Doing Amazing Things Together

We’re all about possibilities. Are you?

Do you enjoy a stroll around town of an evening? Or popping out to meet friends at the pub? Perhaps you are a star baker and like to get creative in the kitchen?

Become a Support Worker

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.

You will be working with a young woman in her own home, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. She enjoys visiting friends, bingo, baking and live music events.

You should be available to work a variety of evenings and weekends. For this role we need you to be a driver with a full UK licence as our young woman has her own car and likes to make the most of her activity time.

So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

"Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010"

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence

Why Join Us?

What will we do?

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your PVG, and we will pay you a welcome bonus of £200 after 3 months, and another £200 after 6 months.

We provide a package of benefits that make it that bit easier to be your best and we

can also support you to achieve a diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all bingo and baking. We also support people to take their medication, assist with personal care, make healthy lifestyle choices or maintain their home in a way they are safe and well.

It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new – what a feeling!

If you want to empower people to live the life they choose and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.
