Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Female Support Workers to join our incredible team in Rotherham
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
From assisting support throughout the night to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
What we're looking for:
- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships, both people we support are non verbal so good communication skills are vital in this role , this includes been able to read body language , facial expressions , recognising any pain/discomfort.
- Flexibility to work any night per week including weekends, and holidays om a monthly rota basis.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract options:
- Full-time:30 hrs per week, this would be x3 10 hour Waking Night shifts per week
Shift times:
All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
- Waking Nights: 21:30 -07:30
- All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
- Due to the nature of this service, we are looking for female only applicants. This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
