Fibre Filling Operative

The Recruitment Co are looking for Fibre Filling Operatives, or those with potential to learn, to join our customer located in Billingborough, United Fillings Ltd. They specialise in the manufacturing of quality cushion products for the furniture industry.
This is a temporary to permanent position with a 3-week trial and a further 9 week's working for us, at the end of week 12 you will be given a direct contract.
Feather Filling Operatives are expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced, repetitive environment necessary in the production of pillows and cushions with accuracy and speed to achieve company expectations necessary to meet and exceed customer demands.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the Production team you will be primarily working within our Fibre Department filling and packing cushions but will be expected to work in other production areas if needed.
This position places a strong significance on effective teamwork, clear communication, sound judgement, safety orientation, achieving and maintaining production efficiency and a dedication to the quality of our product.
All Feather Filling Operatives play a crucial role in meeting our customer requirements and are expected after initial training to perform with minimal supervision. Feather Filling Operatives may be asked to assist with other duties and work in other departments when needed to meet those requirements.
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to read, write and follow directions
• Ability to count and apply basic math skills with or without a calculator
• Ability to work repetitive jobs at a fast pace.

Other:

• Own transport required.
• The business needs of the Company vary on an ongoing basis, and overtime may be required at short notice

• Our busy/peak periods will require substantial overtime including extra working days.
• Lead by Example and challenge everything that is not correct and improve on it.

Shift as a Fibre Filling Operative:
Monday to Thursday - 7.30am - 16pm
Friday - 7.30am - 13pm
Pay rate as a Fibre Filling Operatives:
£11.44 per hour and £14.44 per hour overtime after 37.50 hrs per week.
Weekdays after 18pm and Weekends £16.44 per hour.
