Fibreglass Laminator - Permanent
As a Laminator, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, working on a diverse range of products, including large names within the industry. Your primary responsibilities will involve reading and interpreting lay-up drawings, applying your laminating expertise to meet specified requirements, and proactively addressing any deviations or errors you identify during the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare moulds for gel coating
- Thoroughly understand lay-up specifications
- Apply gel coat as required
- Execute various laminating processes such as wet-lay, infusion, vac-bagging, pre-preg, or RTM
- Utilize hand tools effectively
- Detect and rectify laminating defects
- Work with core materials and bonding pastes
- Release simple moulds
- Handle patterns and jigs
- Use a variety of fabrics, CSM, and cloths in dry and pre-preg formats
Experience required:
- Profound understanding of GRP laminating and associated processes, including trimming and grinding
- Familiarity with quality control procedures
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in the Marine, Aerospace, Automotive, or other quality-driven industries
