SalaryField Applications Specialist - NGS
Location: Field Based (UK-Wide) with 70% travel
Products: NGS instruments & associated consumables
Salary: Competitive plus 20% annual bonus
Our client is a leading providing of Next Generation Sequencing instruments and consumables. As a result of recent growth and success they are looking to expand their team and require a Field Applications Specialist to support and assist customers with their sequencing applications.
The role will primarily involve liaising with new and existing customers, providing in-person applications support across the whole sequencing workflow including sample preparation, library preparation and sequencing. The role will require continuous learning, developing the ability to help customers to find working solutions to ensure every success with the technology. Strong communication skills are required to deliver customer trainings and to help work seamlessly with colleagues across several internal teams including sales and technical support.
Role Requirements:
- A PhD degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genomics etc.
- Strong knowledge and wet-lab experience of NGS technology. Technically competent in discussing experimental design, sequencing techniques and data analysis
- Confident communicator (experience in training, presenting, teaching would be highly beneficial)
This role would be ideal for an individual with a life science background with experience with NGS with customer-facing experience (ideally as application specialist/scientist) who is happy to travel regularly across the UK to support our client’s customer base.
