This is a role with a lot of field-based work through the week. You must be happy to travel and stay overnight.
About the role:
Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a key business who run critical national infrastructure to transport fuels and gases, to recruit a Field Engineer / Field Construction Supervisor for a field-based role around the country, with the main responsibility of overseeing site based mechanical and civil engineering construction projects.

This key hire for a Field Engineer / Field Construction Supervisor role comes with a salary of up to �46,000 with a comprehensive package.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader you will:

* Supervise on site engineering projects in accordance to relevant company, client, national and international standards
* Take instructions from the central client team to then execute the projects out in the field
* Represent the engineering department on a site level with the construction contractor and site operator / owner where applicable
* Provide project control oversight from initial mobilisation through to commissioning and handover
* Prepare specific plans and programmes to ensure site work is carried out to timescales and in accordance with the contractual agreement
* Supervise compliance to engineering drawings and the programme
* Maintain the site diary
* Day to day communication with all parties on site
* Other duties as required

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

* Field Engineering / Supervision experience
* A higher education in a relevant engineering discipline
* UK driving licence
* Flexibility and proven experience delivering construction/engineering infrastructure projects

Personal skills:
The Field Construction Supervisor role would suit someone who is:

* A problem-solver and self-starter
* Excellent verbal and written English language
* A flexible person who can travel
