SalaryIdeal Recruit is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join our esteemed client in the Holbeck area of Leeds. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with excellent benefits and the chance to enhance your technical skills.
Location: Holbeck, Leeds
Pay Rate: £16 per hour
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00
- Friday: 07:30 – 15:00
- Lunch: 30 mins
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
- Diagnose, repair, and commission actuators in the field
- Modify and upgrade actuators as needed
- Conduct inspections and health checks on company actuators
- Perform mechanical and electrical installations of actuators and related components
- Participate in power station outages
- Generate high-quality site visit reports promptly
- Conduct detailed site surveys for the manufacturing of adaption components
- Create and review risk assessments and method statements
- Provide basic setup training to customers if required
- Promote company's Site Services and identify new business opportunities
- Submit expenses and time sheets weekly
- Complete all required health and safety training and documentation
- Maintain the company vehicle in good condition per the manufacturer's schedule
Qualifications & Technical Knowledge:Essential:
- Technical apprenticeship and qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Practical experience in an engineering environment, preferably field-based
Personal Specification:Essential:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Willing to attend training courses for CSCS, CCNSG, confined space, and first aid certification
- Capable of handling customer inductions and medicals
- Able to meet extensive travel commitments, often at short notice
- Self-motivated, responsible, hardworking, and willing to exceed expectations
- Eager to further technical skills and product knowledge
