Talent Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a Field Installation Technician to play a pivotal role in delivering technical projects to support the Engineering services team for a global business in the Defence, emergency services & civil nuclear sectors. Their expertise include engineering design, asset management, training & project management, enabling them to maintain, upgrade and manage crucial assets for both government and private sector clients.

This role involved conducting electrical, data, fibre & mechanical installation tasks and maintenance activities at various locations across the UK. The role includes travel & extended deployments, offering an exciting opportunity to work in diverse environments.

What will you be doing?

• Perform installation and maintenance of electrical, data, fibre, mechanical & communication equipment at customer sites
• Ensure accurate completion of associated documentation
• Conduct risk assessments prior to and throughout completion of tasks
• Install a range of infrastructure in support of front-end operational equipment
• Maintain & develop skills to ensure services remain current with technical advancements and legislative changes
• Ensure all installation-related documentation is submitted for customer approval before & after tasks, including method statements & risk assessments

What are we looking for?

• Ability to obtain DV clearance
• Knowledge of compliance and health & safety policy and regulations
• Proficient in MS word, Sharepoint & Excel
• UK Driving licence
• Time served electrical apprenticeship or City & Guilds 1 & 2 in Electrical installations
• Working knowledge of electrical installations and the code of practice for the in-service inspection & testing of electrical equipment
