The Field Merchandiser is a vital role in our FMCG retail team, ensuring that our products are presented in the best possible way to maximise sales. This role involves working closely with store managers and staff in the North to establish strong relationships and optimise our product positioning.

Description

• Collaborating with store managers to optimise product placement and visual merchandising.
• Ensuring the company's products are always fully stocked and attractively displayed.
• Providing training and support to store staff regarding the company's products.
• Provide feedback to Merchandising and Product team regarding space management, new item launches, planogram resets regarding needed changes and/or adjustments.
• Maintain quality results by following and enforcing safe food handling practices, product rotation, and temperature standards.
• Train and educate employees on new products and best practices for product display and rotation, backroom organisation, and overstock procedures.
• Collecting and reporting on customer feedback and market trends.
• Identifying opportunities for sales growth and implementing strategies to achieve this.
• Managing and maintaining strong relationships with store management and staff.
• Working as part of the wider FMCG retail team to achieve shared goals.
• Representing the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Profile
A successful Field Merchandiser should have:

• A strong understanding of the FMCG industry and retail environment.
• Experience in a leadership role in retail grocery e.g., Produce, Frozen, Chilled, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood manager can be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to analyse sales data and identify opportunities for growth.
• Proven experience in visual merchandising and product placement.
• A forward-thinking mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• A flexible approach to work, with the ability to travel to various store locations.
• Must have a valid drivers license and safe driving record.
• Strength to lift, push or pull objects up to 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to sufficiently handle boxes and supplies.
