Field Service Engineer

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join us at Kridan Handling, a North-Yorkshire based, family-run firm established over 28 years ago. Along with a basic salary of up to £35,000 per annum, we also offer overtime opportunities (taking your salary up to £40,000), a service van, tablet, mobile phone, PPE, full training and private vitality healthcare. 
We offer sales, servicing, repair and hire facilities and provide an honest, reliable service that's always available when you need us. We provide a comprehensive range of access equipment including cherry pickers, scissor lifts and associated access equipment. We also offer new, used and ex-demonstration forklifts and manual handling machinery to fit most budgets, all backed up by our comprehensive pre- and post-sales support and extensive workshop facilities. 
What you’ll do as Field Service Engineer at Kridan Handling:

• Carrying out maintenance on customer sites to the above noted equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with equipment and machinery at customer locations, utilising your expertise to efficiently troubleshoot and repair problems on-site.
• Providing technical assistance and support to customers, offering guidance on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
• Installing and commissioning new equipment and machinery at customer sites, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and functionality to meet client specifications and requirements.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and calibration of equipment, to prevent potential failures and ensure continuous operation, adhering to maintenance schedules and protocols.
• Maintaining detailed records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions, and provide regular reports to management, contributing to effective communication and documentation of service activities.

At Kridan Handling, we’re looking for a Field Service Engineer with:

• A valid driving license
• Previous experience in our related mechanical industry.
• Equipment operator licenses (preferred)
• Thorough examination inspection (LOLER & PUWER regs) trained (beneficial)
• Ideally based within 20 miles of Barton Hill.

Working hours are Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:30. You will be expected to be onsite for these start/finish times, assuming the first call is now more than 1 hour from your home address.
