The company was established in 1911 and supplies a varied range of custom-built machines for their clients. Due to business growth, my client is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their team.
Role: Field Service Engineer
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week
Salary: £38,000 + Overtime
Benefits: Parking, Pension, Company Van, Overtime
*Successful candidates will need to live within a 40 minute drive of Dartford, Kent.
Overview Of Role:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, training, and servicing our client’s equipment's to the highest standards. You will be dealing with the customers first hand, so good customer communication will be a must, You also must comply with customer's safety policies in place on site. You will be required to survey and service customer equipment. Be able to provide solutions to improve the efficiency of the equipment when needed. You will not be on customer sites; you will be in the factory assisting in the manufacturing of our client’s equipment.
The Role:
- Install and service packaging equipment.
- Willing to travel across the UK and globally when necessary.
- willing to stay away from home, occasionally for more than a week.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge ( Mechanically bias)
- Fault Finding
- Basic PLC understanding
- Report always to the service manager.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and alone when necessary.
- Have a full UK Driving license.
The Candidate:
- Previous Service Engineer experience
- Good mechanical knowledge
- Basic understanding of electrical fault-finding principles
- Willing to travel and stay away when necessary.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Clean driving license( preferable)
- Willing to work flexible hours when required.
- Basic pneumatics knowledge
