Job Description:
Reporting to the Manchester Depot Manager, this is both an internal supporting role and a customer facing role, with emphasis on Manchester Depot operations and on-site repairs.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Carry out all repair & maintenance work as instructed by your line manager. This may include the PDI of new machines, refurbishment work of used machines and the repair of customer machines.
* Be available to welcome customers to the Manchester Depot in the absence of the Depot Manager.
* Receive all machine & parts deliveries.
* Manage the Manchester Depot parts stock.
* Be familiar with the 'dealer portal' for all job opening, parts movements, labour and travel entry, sub-contractor charges, invoice & warranty recovery.
* On occasions, you will be required to carry out Field Service work to support the Field Service department when they are busy.
* As you are representing the company when on site, you are responsible for best behaviour and safe working practises at all times.
* You are responsible for carrying out a risk assessment before carrying out any job.
* You are responsible for van cleanliness.
* Be available to support the company's R&D department activities, which will be based at the Manchester Depot.
* Carry out other activities as instructed by your line manager.
Experience Required:
Must have previous experience as a Service Engineer dealing with Construction equipment
