My client is an established firm in the specialist spray booth sector who are currently looking for a skilled individual to repair, service and maintain their booths across the UK. The ideal candidate will possess an electrical qualification and have an HVAC, air handling plant or commercial/industrial refrigeration background.
Suitable candidate locations will be commutable to the office in South Leicester - including Wigston, Blaby, Whetstone, Broughton Astley, Oadby or surrounding areas. Other suitable job titles could include Service Engineer, Service Technician, Multiskilled Engineer, Electro-Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Electrician, Electrical Engineer or similar.
The Role - Field Service Engineer
To service/maintain and install a range of industrial spray booths nationwide.
- Full servicing, changing filters, checking airflows
- Electrical testing, fault-finding and diagnostics on control panels and motors
- Checking motor currents - single and three-phase
- Manual handling and working at heights
- Testing – LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation), BAT (Breathing Air Test), & ACT (Air Clearance Test)
- Mechanical duties - repairing broken doors, fan motors, burners and equipment upgrades
- Input & Extract filter replacements
- Fault finding/diagnostics
- On-site Health & Safety
- Flexible with overnight stays
Key Skills / Experience Required - Field Service Engineer
- Experience in repairing, servicing or maintaining industrial machinery, HVAC, Air handling plant, commercial refrigeration or similar
- Experience working with single or 3-phase equipment
- Holds a valid Electrical Qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or HNC/HND equivalent
- Happy to stay away up to 5 nights per month
- Has experience of fault-finding to control panel level
- Good communication skills with a range of individuals; Customers to site operatives
- Full UK Driving Licence
The Package - Field Service Engineer:
- Starting Salary £32k-£35k
- Starting salary dependent on experience
- Overtime x1.5 over 39 hours
- Hours: 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 1pm finish Friday
- Company Van / Fuel Card once trained
- 25 days holiday plus Bank Hols
