Field service Engineer - Power Generation
Days (Monday - Friday)

Up To £46,600 + 10% Annual Bonus + Overtime (£50,000 - £70,000 OTE)
We are looking for motivated Field Service Engineers to join a globally recognised manufacturing company. Reporting directly to the Service Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the customers production facilities are kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. Role Description:
- Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
- Escalates unresolved issues to product specialists / Supervisor.
- Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements.
- Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
- The ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to accurately diagnose faults.
- Accurate and timely completion of Service Documentation.
- Highlight 'upsell' opportunities to the Customer and ensure that any 'rejected' opportunities are evident on the Service Worksheet before Customer signature.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience diagnosing and repairing of Power Generation equipment.
- Mechanical / Electrical experience.
- 18thEdition Electrical qualification preferred.
- Electrical Theory and Troubleshooting.
- Minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical engineering.
- LV/HV Switchgear experience preferred but not essential.
- Experience in PLC control systems preferred but not essential.
