Location: Lincolnshire / East Anglia
Salary: From £35k + Excellent Benefits
Working Hours: 45 Per Week
The Client:
Our client, a leading global provider of industrial machinery and solutions, dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions in the manufacturing sector.
The Role:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be reporting to Product Support Manager and play a pivotal role in installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced machinery at customer sites.
Responsibilities:
* Assemble electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic installations to ensure operational readiness.
* Perform CNC/PLC software updates/downgrades, conducting thorough tests for successful implementation.
* Resolve basic troubleshooting cases, meticulously diagnosing and analysing each situation.
* Generate and communicate essential reports, including service reports, support request forms, customer feedback, and installation documentation in the CRM system.
* Provide comprehensive instruction to customers on machine safety, maintenance, and operator knowledge, delivering operator training as necessary.
* Assist customers with physical activities such as loading/unloading equipment.
* Manage the request and delivery of spare parts from stock to customers.
* Contribute to sales and service offer consultations.
* Support the installation and operation of machines at fairs and exhibitions.
* Take responsibility for resolving and tracking quality complaints.
Requirements:
* Previously worked as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar role.
* Minimum 2 years of maintenance, installation, and/or service experience.
* Technical expertise in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Educational background in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field, acquired through technical school, apprenticeship, college, or a bachelors degree.
* Capability to do CNC / PLC updates and downgrades.
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

* Understanding of IT software (DMS, CRM, LMS & Microsoft Windows, drive systems, CNC, and PLC bus-systems.
* Willingness to travel.
* Valid driving license.
