Position Overview: EGGER UK is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Management Accounting team as an apprentice. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training in financial management, budgeting, and reporting within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals, learning essential skills and contributing to the team's success. You will recieve comprehensive training and mentorship from experienced professionals.

What you'll be doing...
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including variance analysis, cost analysis, and budget forecasts.
- Support the management accounting team in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data, analyze trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial models, spreadsheets, and databases to facilitate efficient data analysis and reporting.
- Participate in cost control initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures.
- Gain exposure to financial systems and software, assisting in data entry, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial records.
- Engage in ad-hoc projects and tasks as directed by senior members of the management accounting team, gaining exposure to a wide range of financial activities.
What we need from you...
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in finance and management accounting.
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English, level 4 and above.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
