The Finance Briefing Manager role sits within the Finance Policy, Accountability and Briefing Team. As lead for the Finance Briefing branch of the team, you will lead the department's central 'hub' for all finance-related briefing - the Finance Briefing Hub.
The Finance Briefing Hub is a team of four which co-ordinates briefing, correspondence and fact-checking for DHSC's Finance Group which is split into two Resource and Capital Directorates. The team consists of one SEO (this role) supported by a deputy briefing hub manager (HEO) and two EOs.
The Finance Briefing Hub is a central coordination point for the Finance Group, supporting colleagues across finance in providing high-quality Finance Briefing. The Hub actively maintains a database of the most recent briefing provided on all aspects of NHS finances and ensures that the most appropriate responses are given at each opportunity.
We pro-actively take the lead role on responding to Parliamentary Questions; providing wide-ranging briefing for debates and oral questions in both Houses; and answering all correspondence requests to the required deadlines.
