Job title: Finance Customer Journey Manger - Control and Reconciliation Lab

Location: Bristol

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Customer Journey Manager to work in the Control and Reconciliation Lab, part of the Finance Platform. The Control and Reconciliation Lab is a dynamic team with agile ways of working at the heart of everything we do.

The role is focused on working on remediation work relating to our current Finance Reconciliation tool. There are numerous automated reconciliations across Finance and some other parts of the Group. These reconciliations are a critical part of the LBG Financial Control framework.

You'll also be responsible for the requirements' analysis, process design and solution design for initiatives impacting the Control and Reconciliation Lab Feature. You'll also organise collaborative sessions with developers, automation engineer and quality engineers to collate the impact assessments.

You'll support the Product Owner to identify and understand the business need, analyse, and prioritise the requirements, through to assessing, designing, testing, and implementing agreed solutions.

Additional accountabilities will include;

  • Working with Finance stakeholders and teams to ensure they are aware of all Control and Reconciliation impacts from Inbound initiatives.

  • Analysing key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business.

  • Utilising Jira to document the work and track the progress of all feature teamwork, to ensure we are driving value.

  • Developing and/or delivering a plan for a specific area of responsibility by managing others.

  • Building sophisticated frameworks to fully assess the scope and context of short-term and long-term business needs.

  • Developing innovative solutions by integrating and analysing complex and diverse information sources.

  • Identifying shortcomings, then suggesting and implementing improvements to existing business practices, while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organisational change programme.

About you

  • Knowledge of Finance reconciliations.

  • Strong Finance background.

  • Analytical and objective thinking.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation skills.

  • Data analysis and mapping.

  • Natural facilitator and decision-maker, enabling teamwork across different business teams.

  • Knowledge of Agile and/or Finance Systems such as JIRA, Confluence.

You'll have passion, proactivity, dedication, and an ability to operate independently with energy and drive. You'll be an outstanding communicator, able to collaborate with colleagues at all levels and across both the Finance and Change communities coupled with having great facilitation and partnership skills, with an ability to bring out the best in teams.

Additionally, you'll have the ability to understand business problems and technical challenges and facilitate team design and delivery of appropriate solutions with the energy and leadership to build collaborative and empowered teams and be open to change and trying new ways of working.
