This specific area of finance is a high performing and collaborative team, responsible for providing effective Financial Accounting & Control to a range of internal and external customers, that in turn helps to meet strategic goals of the business.
Main duties:
* Managing and developing a small team
* Delivering month process to facilitate accurate airline reporting
* Ensuring completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations
* Coordinating balance sheet reviews with key stakeholders to ensure accuracy
* Creating and presenting reporting pack to Head of Finance and Finance Director
* Supporting project activity
* Promoting a strong internal control environment
* Accountability for the P&L forecast
* Creating, owning and driving the accounting roadmap
Key skills & experience required:
* Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with previous experience in financial/management accounting and/or audit
* Ability to follow and challenge process
* Ability to adapt and promote change
* Analytical, accurate and number driven
* Strong attention to detail and experience dealing with large volumes of data
* Capable of building effective working relationships
* Confident working in fast-paced, large company environments
