The Company hiring a Finance Manager
A Finance Manager is sought by this truly leading global £multi-billion turnover business services group. Operating within the UK, Europe, US and AsiaPac markets, they have developed an enviable reputation for outstanding client service and delivering innovative specialist products and unique solutions. Continued growth has resulted in the need for a bright qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA ideally from a Big 4 or Top 10 firm, to assume a high-profile Finance Manager role, your remit is to support the CFO and Group Financial Controller in the provision of financial advice, planning, budgeting, analysis & reporting.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Manager
- Drive all accounting and financial reporting across a portfolio or strategic corporate projects
- Alert the Project Managers
- Supporting Programme Directors, PMO, Project Managers and external advisors to provide financial support and guidance on all financial aspects of projects
- Ensure all projects spend is accounted for in accordance with local regulation and International Reporting Standards
- Ensure all Project Managers are aware of
- Work closely with Tax and Treasury teams maintaining detailed and accurate cashflow forecasting to ensure funds are always available
- Prepare detailed P&L and Balance Sheet analysis in conjunction with local and global FP&A teams
- Provide additional ad-hoc analysis for the CFO and Regional Heads of Finance
- Understand the sensitivities in project spend estimates and educate Project Managers on these
- Provide independent quality assurance to the Investment Board on the financial integrity of business cases
- Assist the validation of financial estimates and advise appropriate revenue accounting assumptions to utilise
- Partner with various finance teams to communicate ongoing project spend and ensure all parties are informed of changes and variance to budget
- Manage a small team of qualified and part-qualified accountants
Skills & Attributes of the Financial Management Accountant
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Exposure within an international Plc or global market-leading B2B or B2C business is highly advantageous
- Experience within a projects environment would be advantageous but not essential
- Ability to understand business and communicate with both finance and non-finance personnel and senior management
- The role demands a confident, self-motivated approach, commercial acumen and the gravitas to influence and advise key stakeholders
