£55,000 to £60,000 plus Benefits

A group made up of fast-growing companies operating as both a manufacturer and distributor wishes to appoint a capable and well-rounded qualified accountant or (finalist with significant experience) to this role to support the Group Finance Director and Group Financial Controller.
What will you be doing?
- Production of management accounts.
- Supervision of a small team.
- Control account reconciliations.
- Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Accruals & prepayments.
- Inventory controls.
- Managing fixed assets register.
- General ledger, incl. journal preparation & posting.
- VAT returns.
- Assist with completion of month-end, ad-hoc weekly / monthly reporting.
In terms of the successful candidate, you will be a qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA who ideally will have worked in an international business. The pace and environment requires you to possess effective communication skills and be confident in presenting financial information to senior management. You will seek opportunities to be proactive and are able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision. This does mean you need to be good at planning, have strong organisation skills and can adhere to tight deadlines.
A heavily Microsoft Excel reliant setting does mean you will have strong IT skills, spanning across pivot charts / tables, macros and data models. Also, knowledge of Sage, Xero and MS Dynamics 365 (ERP) will be really helpful.
