We’re on the lookout for our first Finance Manager to join the team here at Onetrace, this role will be reporting directly to the Co-Founders and will play a pivotal role in supporting all aspects of Finance as we continue our exciting growth journey. As the Finance Manager, you will be a key member in the team, providing essential support to Senior Management and the wider team. What you’ll do
- Our Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance: budgeting, forecasting and financial operations
- You will contribute to our strategic direction by understanding, managing, controlling and reporting the numbers
- You will be responsible for building, leading and maintaining the finance function, defining processes and procedures - you will play a key role in shaping the function and readying us for scale!
- You will be involved in ongoing process improvements of our customer subscriptions and payments infrastructure
- Producing and interpreting financial reporting both internally and externally when needed
- Support the senior management team in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting processes and you will provide ongoing support for all departments
- Preparing annual accounts, corporation tax returns and R&D tax claims
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Maintain accurate books on accounts payable, receivable, payroll and any other financial entries and reconciliations, including expenses
- Plus, any other duties reasonably requested to support the business from a Finance and Operations perspective
We would love to hear from you if you are someone who:
Essential
- 5+ years of experience working in the finance profession - startup experience is a must!
- Experience with Accounting Software packages (Xero is ideal)
- Bachelors in Finance or related field and ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Ability to prepare statistical reports, perform financial modelling, analyse financial reports and make recommendations based on analysis and research
- Ability to describe accounting systems and processes
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheet skills and strong analytical skills
- Strong priority management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident speaking with key stakeholders at various levels, including external advisors
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines with no loss of accuracy
- Analytical mind-set and detail oriented
- Self driven with a growth mindset
- Strategic thinker
Desirable
- Experience managing or supporting junior team members
- Exposure to a B2B SaaS startup
- Familiarity with Xero
