A returning client of ours is looking to recruit a Qualified Finance Manager for their business which has a £110+ million UK
turnover and made up of 3 entities with possible additional entities added as they look to grow.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Transactional Finance Manager to join the UK business. Managing a not fully settled finance team, you will be responsible for the financial control of the UK business, comprised of 3 different entities, including tax, statutory and audit responsibilities as well as owning the liquidity/cash forecasting for the businesses. The role reports to the UK Finance Director/CFO.
As Finance Manager your duties will include:
- Monthly and period end business and group reporting of billing (along with Head of billing)
- Tax compliance along with MA’s for 3 entities
- Management of audit process along with Finance Business Partners, developing relationships with external auditors alongside the reporting team (MA’s)
- Adhering to and developing internal financial controls, improving processes where necessary
- Leading the cash management process (Treasury)
- Driving Cash flow management across all 3 companies
- Leading, developing and motivating transactional finance team of 5 alongside the billing admin team of 5 (to be added in time as the person settles into the role)
- Manage team functions – billing, credit control, accounts payable, banking & treasury
- Developing and improving finance system and processes for greater efficiency
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation including UK GAAP and IFRS
- There will be a move to IFRS locally so to be the lead on this with Finance Business Partners
- Direct management of the billing process and pricing along with the Head of Billing, Finance Director and Commercial Director
- Working closely with the Finance Director, Finance Business Partner, Payroll manager, Operations Director, Commercial Director and Head of Procurement
- Drive key technology projects focused around the ERP and improvement
Ideal candidates will be:
- - Qualified ACCA or CIMA with an underlying degree in finance/accounting
- - Multi-site and multi-P&L
- - Several years of experience as a transactional Finance Manager
- - Background in transactional heavy organisations e.g., Cargo/Aviation industry, industrial
- services or manufacturing
- - Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- - Experience in developing a new transactional team
- - Commercial and business awareness
- - Excel and modelling
- - Ability to deliver against strict deadlines.
- - Strong leadership attributes with process
- - Ability to foster strong team work amongst the large team
Remuneration:
£65k-80k ( depending on experience)
