Finance Manager - Tv Production House

A renowned TV Production House in London is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to join our finance team. The Finance Manager will be instrumental in overseeing financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the financial health of the Production House. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to financial management within the TV production industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

   • Develop and manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for TV productions.
   • Analyze financial performance and provide strategic insights to senior management.
   • Collaborate with production teams to align financial goals with project objectives.

2. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports for management.
   • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
   • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes for TV productions.

3. Cost Management:

   • Monitor and control production expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
   • Provide cost analysis and support for various TV projects.

4. Revenue Recognition:

   • Oversee revenue recognition processes in line with industry standards.
   • Work closely with sales and distribution teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting.

5. Cash Flow Management:

   • Manage cash flow and liquidity, providing recommendations for improvement.
   • Monitor working capital and optimize cash management strategies for TV productions.

6. Team Management:

   • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
   • Oversee professional development and training initiatives within the finance department.

7. Stakeholder Engagement:

   • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
   • Act as a key point of contact for financial inquiries and provide financial insights to support business decisions.

8. Audit and Compliance:

   • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
   • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager in a TV production or media company.
• Strong knowledge of financial management principles and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
