This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to make their mark in a meaningful organisation as you will have the ability to shape and improve processes across the finance team and work to improve the lives and futures of the next generation.
In this Finance Manager role, you will:
- Lead on the production of the budget, forecast and the long-term financial plan for ten subsidiaries.
- Oversee the consolidation of management accounts for your subsidiaries and report the accounts to the Head of Finance and to board level audiences.
- Have oversight of one direct report, driving professional growth and ensuring key deliverables are met.
- Create and drive financial strategy across the organisation by reviewing processes, identifying cost saving opportunities and other exciting projects across the organisation.
- Play a pivotal role at year-end by providing information and answering queries from Auditors regarding your subsidiaries.
Based in Carlisle, this role is being offered on a hybrid basis, to work from home once or twice a week, but will require travel to nearby offices across Cumbria. The successful candidate will:
- Be a part-, or fully qualified ACCA, ACA, CIPFA or CIMA Accountant, however candidates who are considered ‘qualified by experience’ are encouraged to apply if they have experience in the not-for-profit or public sector.
- Come from a not-for-profit or public sector background, however, candidates with a strong desire to move into the sector are highly encouraged to apply.
- Have experience working in a similar role, overseeing the consolidation of management accounts for several entities and ensure that the finance functions are running smoothly.
- Be an excellent verbal and written communicator with the ability to prioritise competing needs of subsidiaries and liaise effectively with stakeholders.
