Finance Practice Development Lawyer (PDL)

Job Description

This dynamic team handles a wide range of finance transactions including acquisition finance, real estate finance, corporate lending, debt capital markets, social housing, asset-based lending and project finance.

Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an additional PDL to join either its Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen office. The work will be varied, and key tasks will include:

Drafting publications (newsletters, briefings, current awareness alerts) and writing articles for publication, including news, analysis, and thought leadership pieces.
Preparing responses to public consultations on legal and policy developments.
Horizon scanning and tracking key legal and market developments for clients and lawyers (both at the firm, within clients and with other law firms).
Producing and managing appropriate precedents, standard forms and practice notes, publications and team content and materials, including online materials and intranet knowledge pages.
Working with the partner and lawyer teams to develop and implement strategic and practical knowledge projects: proactively identifying and prioritising key activities.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a minimum of 5 years’ PQE with prior experience working in the financial sector, the team will consider candidates from all finance specialisms. Interested applicants do not require existing PSL or PDL experience for this role.
