The ideal candidate will have experience in a practice environment, with openness to candidates from various industries, particularly those with a background in regulated sectors. The role is permanent & full time based at Cockermouth.
Responsibilities:
The position offers a diverse and challenging scope, encompassing a variety of responsibilities, such as:
- Ensure that financial information, e.g., accounting system, budgets and cash flows is up to date.
- Produce accurate financial reports and information to meet specific deadlines. Allocate internal re-charges to projects on a regular basis according to agreed schedule.
- Prepare and present annual financial information to accountants to meet our internal deadlines.
- Liaise with directors to provide financial information to support the development of the business.
- Identify cost-reduction or efficiency opportunities, conduct reviews and evaluations and make recommendations to the directors.
- Operate the Sales and Purchase Ledgers of the business.
- Run the monthly BACS payments.
Qualification:
- A finance related qualification is preferred however; relevant experience will also be taken into consideration.
