We seek an experienced and enthusiastic Finance/Admin Assistant to join our small, friendly school admin team. The postholder will work alongside the SIMs Officer supporting the Business Manager and Headteacher in all office procedures; particularly the day to day operational finance.
Initial hours will be 22.5, three days per week:
08:30 until 16:30 three days per week Monday, Wednesday and Friday with half an hour for lunch from commencement date to 31st August 2024.
Increasing to 30 hours 4 days per week, 08:30 – 16:30 - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with half an hour for lunch from 1st September 2024.
The ideal candidate will:
- · Have GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English Grade C/4 or above.
- · Have finance experience (preferably in schools)
- · Have knowledge of school systems such as SCOPAY, Business World, SIMs and Access.
- · Possess a warm, positive, professional manner and create a welcoming Reception to all visitors to the schoolHave a strong proven ability to be able to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, pupils, the wider school community and external agencies
- · Be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications to fulfil the requirements of the role
- · Be able to work effectively as a team member, under direction and independently.
- · Maintain high regard for confidentiality
- · Have the ability to forward plan, prioritise efficiently and meet deadlines
- · Hold a positive regard for all children, including their safety and wellbeing.
- · Understand and comply with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- · Possess a keen sense of humour and a willingness to be involved in the life of the school
Highfield Primary School is a split site Primary with half a mile between sites and the postholder will be expected to work at both sites on a regular basis.
