Financial Controller

Are you seeking your next role as a Financial Controller in the Cardiff area?
Offering a highly competitive salary, my client has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.
The successful applicant will lead the Finance Department, as part of a team of 3, working closely with the Procurement Department.

Duties:

• Manage day to day accounting operations - billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, inventory accounting
• Sole responsibility for the management of cash flow and its accuracy, working alongside the Procurement Team when forecasting
• Create (and independently drive) actionable analysis for company leadership
• Support the business with the financial strategy, using your experience to ensure the business is as efficient as possible
• Implement best practice across the finance department processes - ensuring those processes are streamlined, scalable, accurate and documented clearly
• Develop finance policies, internal controls and ensure compliance
• Lead the preparation of analysis for board meetings

Requirements:

• It's essential that you are ACA/ACCA qualified
• 5+ year's experience
• Have the confidence to lead a small team, delegating work and communicate with senior stakeholders
• Demonstrable experience identifying deficiencies and implementing improvements
