Hays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of their established Manufacturing client based in Peterhead for a permanent Financial Controller to join their growing team. This is a newly created role suitable for someone looking to take the next step in their career. Salary is up to £65,000 + £5000 car allowance, 10% bonus, hybrid working (2 / 3 days a week in the office) and other excellent benefits including private medical & 34 days annual leave.
Your new role
Reporting in to the Financial Director, you will provide technical financial leadership and guidance and ensure effective production of all statutory and key financial reports. You will be in charge of developing and delivering a plan to ensure the financial management and control of the company. You will finance business partner with the local leadership team to translate business objectives to support growth. You will complete financial analysis from a range of sources to identify issues & routes to financial improvement. You will monitor KPIs, highlighting trends & variances & recommend actions to improve. You will be involved in process & system improvements & changes and manage the small finance team to meet all reporting and project timelines. You will complete analytical reports and present finding to the board.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will be a highly experienced Accountant & Finance business partner who is looking to take the next step in their career to Financial Controller level. You will ideally be qualified, but this is not essential as long as you have a university degree. You will have strong reporting and financial analysis experience and be comfortable presenting at board level. You will have a process improvement & problem-solving mindset with an ability to meet multiple strict deadlines. Experience of staff management / supervision is advantageous but not essential.
