My client is a Manufacturing business who are looking for a Financial Controller to look after their Finance function for their UK subsidiary. This role is a standalone position, so the chosen candidate must be comfortable with both transactional and higher level accounting. We are looking for candidates who are CIMA or AAT qualified.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of the control report monthly with commentary and variance analysis
• Cash Flow forecasting
• Co-ordinating and creating an annual budget (bottom up)
• Presenting the financial presentations to the board of directors twice annually.
• Book-keeping to include journals, purchase, and sales ledger. (includes credit control and creditor payments).
• Providing payroll, commission, and bonus information to the outsourced payroll provider and ensuring timely payments of payroll.
• Checking and paying of expense claims.
• Support tenders or frameworks with the financial information.
• Manage local insurances such as buildings, inventory, public and employers’ liability etc

The ideal candidate will:

• Have be an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller, and have experience working in either a standalone or SME environment
• Be AAT or CIMA qualified
• Be personable and collaborative
• Be comfortable working alongside an MD as well as with a high level of autonomy
