As a Financial Crime Compliance Assurance (FCC) Consultant, you’ll support the Assurance Managers to execute the Financial Crime Compliance Assurance Plan within the required timescales and to the standards required under the FCC Assurance Methodology.
This is a critical role which will execute the Risk Based Financial Crime Compliance Assurance Plan across Ring-Fenced Bank (RFB) Financial Crime Risk Management activities. You’ll objectively assess compliance with agreed internal policy, legal obligations and regulatory expectations.

- Supporting the FCC Assurance Managers to identify and agree weaknesses in risk management controls, including assessing any breaches
- Supporting the FCC Assurance Managers in the production of high-quality reports which clearly highlight identified issues and risks to Santander
- Ensuring adequate records are retained to demonstrate compliance with the FCC Assurance Methodology to enable independent review and re-performance of the assurance activities and outcomes reached
- Ensuring allocated Assurance findings identified are accurately reflected and maintained in the FCC Assurance Team system of record reviews, to support accurate and timely reporting of the status of assurance findings
- Supporting the Assurance Managers to test, validate and evidence the effectiveness of management actions taken to address assurance findings
- Identifying issues or improvements, providing advice to the Head of FCC Assurance or the wider Financial Crime Management Team as appropriate
What you’ll bring.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Financial Crime from within financial services
- Experience in an Assurance or check and challenge role

- Proactive in managing, organising, prioritising workloads in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Ability to apply judgement from a regulatory perspective to internal and market information
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across the function and relevant business
