To start as soon as possible, full time / part time, permanent

Exciting opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented analytics professional to contribute their expertise as a Financial Manager Commodities (d/f/m). Join our team and leverage your data-driven insights to drive strategic decision-making and enhance business performance.

Your future plans: 

  • Analysis of commodity indexations incl. inflation, foreign exchange in supplier contracts
  • Advise project teams during negotiations of the relevant indexation mechanisms in supply and installation contracts
  • Provide coherent view on the commodity exposures for the individual projects as well as for the portfolio of the projects
  • Develop management strategies of those exposures incl. hedging strategies
  • Establish robust processes to implement hedging strategies considering all relevant impacts e.g. liquidity, tax,  basis risks or hedge accounting implications and appropriate reporting standards
  • Coordination of the process with Financial Managers, Financial Modelers of the projects as well as with Procurement Department and RWE’s trading company (RWEST); monitoring the execution of hedging transactions and coordinate the communication between the involved parties
  • Act as point of expertise for commodity/market risk in supply contracts or other similar contracts at the Projects & Investments Department

Your profile

  • University degree in a quantitative subject e.g. mathematics, economics and similar
  • Sound understanding of derivative and hedging concepts
  • Strength in applying a structured working approach
  • Comprehensive analytical and communicational skills
  • Knows how to work in and with international groups
  • Capable to present in front of groups (team, steering committees etc.)
  • Fluent English, other languages (esp. German) can be beneficial
  • Able to work on the one hand independently and on the other hand effectively in international teams
