Financial Planning Analyst

FP&A Analyst
Contract Duration: 6 months
Annual Salary: Up to £60,000 (pro-rata)
Location: Canterbury

We are seeking a dedicated FP&A Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This role is critical in assisting our company to achieve a significant turnaround in growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial planning and analysis, ready to tackle challenges and drive performance.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities within the business.
• Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather data and insights, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
• Provide actionable recommendations to senior management based on sound financial analysis.
• Monitor financial performance, reporting on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Participate in the budgeting process and provide support for the financial implications of business decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Financial Planning and analysis, preferably within a growth-focused environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide recommendations.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to report complex financial information in an understandable manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in the use of financial software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Relevant finance qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
