Key aspects within the role:
- Driving force behind strategic financial decisions, with responsibility for delivering the financial plan.
- Devising stress tests, mitigation plans and scenario models to aid decision making.
- Create and implement financial models to support teams across the wider business, using your analytical skills to drive improvements in their service areas.
- Line management responsibilities for the treasury and planning accountant.
- Drive continuous improvement in cashflow forecasting, loan monitoring and compliance, and lender and stakeholder relationship management.
- Prepare insightful financial information to be presented to Boards/Committees and external stakeholders, with a tangible impact on strategic decisions made at Board level.
Personal attributes:
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Great presentation skills at a variety of levels.
- Have a passion for driving continuous improvement, proactively reviewing, and optimising existing processes.
- Experience of writing complex reports in financial systems.
- Fully qualified accountant, or someone with a significant amount of equivalent experience.
