What you'll do:
As a Financial Risk Senior Analyst at Aspen, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's approach to Market, Credit and Liquidity risk management. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across various departments such as Investments, Treasury and Capital Management. Your responsibilities will include supporting the development of group-wide methodologies for consistent risk management, providing oversight to key business areas, contributing to the annual Assurance plan, monitoring the group's risk profile among others. Your ability to aggregate risk data for reporting purposes will be crucial in facilitating informed decision-making at all levels within the organisation.
* Support the Head of Financial Risk in enhancing Group-wide methodologies for consistent risk management across the Group
* Provide risk oversight to key business areas including Investments, Treasury and Capital Management
* Contribute to the development of annual Assurance plan by defining points of focus for assessments
* Monitor the Group's risk profile for timely identification, escalation, mitigation and management of new or emerging risks
* Support the Group CRO, CIO and Group Treasurer in maintaining relevant risk management policies and standards
* Collaborate with business and Legal Entity Risk Management teams to maintain Risk and Control registers
* Coordinate with Legal Entity risk teams to deliver Aspen's operational risk management strategy
* Provide Market, Credit and Liquidity Risk support to Investment, Treasury and Capital Management teams
* Aggregate risk data for reporting to senior management, risk governance forums and Board level Committees
What you'll bring:
The ideal candidate for the Financial Risk Senior Analyst role at Aspen will bring a wealth of experience in Market and Credit risk within the insurance industry. With more than 5 years of experience, you will have developed strong industry acumen, including knowledge of business operations, finance, risk and actuarial aspects. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to develop and sustain relationships at all levels within the organisation. Your innovative mindset will be key in driving change in policies, processes and procedures.
* More than 5 years of experience in Market and Credit risk within the insurance industry
* Bachelor's Degree with recognised professional qualifications preferred
* Strong industry acumen including knowledge of business operations, finance, risk and actuarial aspects
* Experience working as part of a team within a multi-national insurance environment
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
* Delivery focused with high energy and drive; ability to deliver through others
* Sound commercial judgment with capacity to understand complex processes and structural issues
* Innovative mindset with ability to drive change in policies, processes and procedures
