Financial Service Professional Degree Apprenticeship - Islands

With millions of customers and a presence in almost every community, our Group is one of the biggest Financial Services providers in the UK. Jersey included. In fact, with around 600 colleagues working at four main sites, our Islands business could almost be a mini-bank in its own right.

Join our School Leaver Apprenticeship in Jersey and you'll gain the kind of skills and experience that isn't available anywhere else.

The essentials

Salary: £31,151 - £54,279 plus a great range of benefits

Locations: Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man

Hours: 35 hours per week

Working pattern: At least two days per week at one of our office sites (so you’ll need to be able to commute to one of the locations above)

Starting: September 2024

What you'll be doing:

Learning from our expert colleagues, you’ll experience different areas of our business, such as Coverage, Products and Risk. Which means, over three years, you’ll spend your time learning how to build and maintain customer relationships, deliver a range of services, strategize and plan, all while developing a firm understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks at the heart of our industry.

On this Level 6 apprenticeship, you’ll dedicate 20% of your time to learning. This might include workshops, job shadowing, reading or completing assignments. For the other 80%, you'll be applying what you've learned to your work, supported by your manager every step of the way.

What you’ll get:

Alongside real-world experience, relevant skills and excellent opportunities to keep progressing, you’ll finish this programme with an Advanced Diploma in Banking and Leadership in a Digital Age qualification with the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI).

You’ll also get a salary, excellent benefits, all the support you need to help you complete your apprenticeship qualification and a career that’s full of possibilities.

What you’ll need:

You’ll need at least 104 UCAS points (or equivalent). This means GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 4-9 (or equivalent), or a willingness to complete Functional Skills in Maths and English to bring you up to speed.

It’s not just about exam results, however. We’re also looking for an inquisitive mind, great team working skills and an eagerness to learn too. If you’re a problems solver with an eye for detail, who takes pride in their work, this could be the perfect opportunity.
