Financial Services Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a public services client based at their headquarters in Penrith. The role of Financial Services Assistant is a key member of the team. The new appointee will provide financial and administrative support in relation to the work of the Financial Services Team, Joint Audit Committee, and the treasury management function.
Reporting to the Financial Services Manager, you will join a well established and qualified team. Typical duties will include:

• Assisting with preparation of financial accounts, undertaking research, producing tables, spreadsheets and analysing trends
• Management and updating budgets for internal and external parties
• Maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger / journal input
• Maintain, monitor and reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis
• Supporting the Group Accountant and Financial Services Managers with the preparation of statutory accounts, taking responsibility for specific tasks within the process.

What you'll need to succeed
Previous accounting experience within a similar role
Active AAT studier
Excellent IT and communication skills
Team player, drive to complete tasks on a timely basis

Salary 23,121 - 27,351 dependent on experience
Full time hybrid role, 3 days office based
Full AAT study support and day release for college
Flexitime - Monday to Friday 7am -10pm
23 days holiday plus banks, incremental to 30 days
