Are you well organised, confident with computers and great with people? Fairhive Homes is looking for a CCAB qualified Financial Services Manager to join our busy and friendly team!

Fairhive Homes is a non-profit affordable housing provider with ambition. We already provide affordable housing to more than 20,000 people in our community but we want to do more. That’s why we are striving to provide 1,000 additional homes by 2025.

As a Financial Services Manager at Fairhive Homes you can expect to be in a dynamic role and to be an integral member of our team, providing support to the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the business. 

About the Role:

Multi-task, provide direction and support to the Finance team.

  • Day to day management and control of Financial Services team of 8.
  • To ensure that the Group’s cash flow management, creditor payments, rent accounting, cash collection, general ledger, VAT, Payroll and financial systems are accurate, up to date and effectively managed.
  • Development and maintenance of effective financial controls, processes and systems and ensure that these are in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Development of performance policies and procedures, to ensure value for money and high standards of customer care in all aspects of Financial Services.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of a variety of projects and who enjoys working with a diverse range of people. You will understand the importance of delivering an efficient and effective service to colleagues and customers.

For this role you will need:

  • Significant relevant experience, demonstrating ability to competently produce VAT returns under the Partial Exemption and Standard method
  • A practical understanding of internal controls and experience of dealing with both internal and external Auditors
  • Substantial experience of managing and motivating a team of staff, including setting objectives and monitoring performance.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with  others 
  • Experience of payroll systems and requirements
  • Experience of complex accounting
  • Resilient and robust problem solver with a positive outlook and the ability to deliver results to tight timescales
  • /financial systems and proficient in Microsoft Excel, ability to produce concise information and analysis, clearly and accurately,
