Job description:

As an industry leading regional house builder, Devonshire Homes have a vacancy for a full time Customer Service Technician/Finishing Foreman to join their team covering their developments across Devon and Cornwall.

A valid driving license is required, and a company van will be issued to the successful candidate. This contract will be Monday-Friday, full time hours.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the job requires maintenance and repairs to new build properties.
  • Excellent communication skills required as you will be liaising with customers and head office ensuring they are kept informed at all times.
  • Works to be carried out in a courteous and professional manner, maintaining the excellent reputation of Devonshire Homes which requires providing a customer-focused service at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and ensure all works are undertaken safely at all times.

Requirements for the role

  • Own tools are required.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Those wishing to apply should have a trade background, preferably with experience of carpentry, decoration and general maintenance.
  • The role entails extended periods of working alone and therefore should have the ability to think independently and react to changing situations.
  • Experience in undertaking customer service issues, experience in new build housing desirable, have a great attention to detail and only accept the highest quality workmanship and finish.
  • As the role will require an element of lone working, the successful candidate would need to be flexible, articulate, well-presented, have an ability to use a laptop, be organised and self-motivated with a can-do attitude in getting work completed right the first time.
