Fawkes & Reece are looking for an experienced Finishing Foreman for a new build housing development based in Lancaster. The site has plans for 200 + units, a mix of 3 and 4 bed detached homes, traditionally built to a high standard.
Finishing Foreman role
Working closely with the Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the internal finishes on new build homes preparing them for CML inspections and handover to customers. Duties to include:
- Quality checks on plots 2-3 weeks prior to CML
- Produce snagging lists
- Liaising with the site team to allocate works to the site team and subcontractors
- Preparing plots for CML's
- Ensuring plots are finished to high standard
- Taking ownership of plots under your control until completion
- Liaising with the Building Inspector
- Carrying out final snags on plots ready for handover
- Managing the 7-day defect period once tenants have moved into properties
This role requires an individual with a "hands on" approach who will take control of plots to ensure they are ready for CML inspections.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic
- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines
- Good knowledge of multi trades, including joinery, plastering, bricklaying, basic plumbing
- Knowledge of building tolerances
- Excellent customer service skills
The company are offering a basic salary around 30K-35k with a car allowance, pension a company bonus scheme.
