Responsibilities of Fire Alarm Service Engineer Role:
- Conduct servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs on emergency lighting and Fire Alarm systems
- Provide informal advice to customers for fire safety improvement opportunities
- Ensure a clear understanding of basic principles of Fire Alarm and emergency lighting systems
- Accurately document all activities using company software, including photo capture and asset register updates
- Cover Harrow and surrounding areas
- Maintain overall quality of on-site work
- Communicate effectively with clients and administration team
- Ensure company compliance with professional body guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with other engineers, offering support and training to junior team members
Skills and Experience Required for Fire Alarm Service Engineer:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the fire industry
- Knowledge of BS5839 & BS5266
- FIA/BAFE/IFEDA Accreditation (training provided for the right candidate)
- Ideally, experience in multiple fire industry disciplines, including service, small works, fault-finding, and maintenance
- Familiarity with equipment such as Morley, C-Tec, Advanced, Notifier, Kentec, and Protec is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Positive attitude, self-motivation, and eagerness to seize opportunities
- Full UK driving license or equivalent is essential
