The role of Design Engineer involves designing & pricing a range of Fire Detection and Life Safety Systems in a competitive market to comply with relevant standards. You will be responsible for the production of all technical aspects of the design, tender delivery and be able to show a commercial mindset. You will be demonstrating & presenting technology solutions to customers when the project demands.

How you will do it
As Design Engineer you will formulate and present technical Fire Detection and Life Safety solutions to customers. You will demonstrate your technical design knowledge and commercial awareness during engagement and project planning. A key part of your role is to ensure customer satisfaction through reviewing and interpreting customer requirements.
What we look for
Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Fire Design Role with Design Responsibility
- AutoCAD, proficient with Microsoft Office Packages in particular Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage both internal & external stakeholders at all levels
- Experience of working in fast paced, highly collaborative environment
- Excellence in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
Preferred
- FIA Advanced Fire Design Certification
- Site experience with surveying and attending design/customer meetings.
- Knowledge of electronic security systems such as CCTV & Access Control
- Experience of 3D drawing packages (Navisworks, REVIT, etc.)
- Experience in designing large complex fire protection systems would be advantageous.
