Fire Remediation Coordinator

Salary £38,000 Per Annum

The role – You will be responsible for ensuring Origin complies with relevant statutory and regulatory obligations in relation to delivery of our fire actions following on from our fire risk assessments. You will ensure works are issued to contractors and you will ensure they are delivered within target timescales. The contract under your control will be managed in accordance with budgetary and operational performance requirements, and you will play a key role in managing risk across our portfolio to ensure we deliver remediation works following fire risk assessments.

As the Fire Remediation Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the most effective and efficient management and delivery of Fire Actions following fire risk assessments. You will be a key member of the Compliance Team ensuring we keep our Residents safe by effectively working closely with our contractors whilst also ensuring you keep our customers updated. With experience in fire safety and experience of working closely with assessors and contractors you will be the expert in ensuring we achieve and maintain compliance putting life safety at the forefront of everything you do.

  • Be responsible for the delivery of all fire actions.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with relevant British Standards
  • Create and maintain compliance-based documentation and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Inputting and analysing evidence to ensure compliance.
  • Ensuring Contractors embed any regulation changes.
  • Be responsible for issuing and monitoring of fire safety actions, you’ll implement quality assurance processes and use performance data to evaluate and monitor improvement right across the Origin Housing stock.
  • You will provide regular reports to evidence progress on our completion of fire actions and be the go-to across the business for management of all activities.
  • Advising / assisting with any H&S updates.

What you’ll need

We’re looking for someone who has:

Good working knowledge of the Fire Safety Order, Fire Safety Act and Fire Safety Regulations

  • Good understanding of active and passive fire safety systems
  • Knowledge and experience of reviewing fire action works
  • Experience in Fire Remediation delivery in residential and or commercial sector.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, compliance, and CDM regulations.
  • Understanding of leaseholder management, consultation, and service charge arrangements.
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Self-motivated, and focused
  • Solution and compliance driven.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Be up to date with fire safety legislation and evidence this through continued professional development.
