I'm looking for a Fire Safety & Certification Engineer to join the UK's leading Aerospace & Defence organisation, working on a joint partnership with the Canadian Navy.
What you'll be doing:
- Facilitate the implementation of relevant Product Safety processes and production of deliverables
- Lead on engagement with the Customer to provide support for them to obtain a Naval Ship Safety Certificate - Fire (NSSC Fire) or equivalent
- Support with the management of the hazards, risks and associated mitigations and contribute to the development of the hazard log and the maturity of information contained within
- Developing safety arguments to go in to the safety report
Essential Skills:
- Experience in product safety management processes and techniques
- Experience in obtaining classification certification
- Familiar with report writing and developing safety arguments
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of ANEP77/Lloyds Naval ship rules highly desirable
- Experience leading hazard identification meetings
- Background within a Naval/Maritime environment or similar highly regulated industry
This is a great opprtunity for an experienced Fire Safety & Certification Engineer that has worked in Aerospace & Defence or any other high-hazard industry such as Oil & Gas, Nuclear or Rail.
The salary is £50,000 to £56,000 plus an excellent benefits package.
