Securitas are recruiting a Fire Safety Delivery Manager.

Enthusiastically support the Fire Division by assisting in the development, management and implementation of Securitas companywide approach to Fire Safety, working closely with internal Property Teams, Primary Fire Authority and other statutory agencies.

  • Salary - competitive, in addition you will be entitled to a car allowance.
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday (some weekend working)
  • Must have a full clean driving licence.

How you will make an impact as a Fire Safety Delivery Manager:

  • Under the direction of the Director of Fire Safety & Aviation, develop, implement and monitor safety policies, strategies and annual action plans.
  • Undertake Fire Risk Assessments as required and develop timely action plans
  • Ensure the effective delivery of all Fire Safety works are completed to a high level of customer satisfaction, to a standard of legal compliance.
  • You will develop supplier contracts and relationships
  • Develop and undertake audits of managed properties to ensure they remain compliant.
  • Investigate and report on incidents, dangerous occurrences and near-misses, maintain records. Ensure RIDDOR incidents are duly reported. Liaise with the insurance provider in respect of insurance claims, and produce statistics for managers, produce management reports, bulletins and safety alerts.
  • Prepare monthly reports for the Director of Fire Safety & Aviation on all Fire safety related matters, events and projects.
  • Close monitoring and management of all direct costs to maximise efficiency at service levels appropriate to each contract; and development and sharing of "best practice" and use of systems and tools to improve margins.
  • Close monitoring and management of all indirect costs to ensure these match the requirements for the effective operation of the Contract.
  • Supporting existing and new Securitas Aviation and Fire related contingency contracts nationally.

Essential Skills
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within Fire Safety industry, property management or similar sector.
  • 5-year checkable history / person check; must be capable of achieving CTC or SC clearances.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Must have a full clean UK driving licence.
  • Fire safety qualification, NEBOSH Fire Certificate or IFE Level 3/4 Certificate in Fire Science.
  • Health and safety qualification, NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Membership of a recognised professional body such as IFE, IOSH, IIRSM or similar, with demonstrable evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Experience of managing or advising on Fire Safety at work in a medium to large organisation.
  • Experience in researching, developing, and implementing policy and strategy to meet business requirements.
  • Ability to conduct investigations into incidents or possible breaches of the RRO and/or health and safety regulations and report on outcomes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Working knowledge of building Fire Safety systems and M&E.

Desirable Skills
  • Full member of the Institute of Fire Engineers (MIFireE)
  • Technical/Member of the Institute of Occupation Safety Health (TechIOSH/MIOSH) or equivalent.
  • 3rd Party qualified risk assessor registered, as per FRA Competency Council.
  • Training and effective delivery related qualification.
  • Be familiar in using PAS:79:2012 format of fire risk assessment.
  • Previous experience in the service sector.
