Shirley Parsons have partnered with a leading architectural practice in search of a Fire Safety Engineer to join their development consultancy team. The Fire Safety Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the development of architectural projects from a Fire Safety Engineering perspective. The opportunity offers a hybrid working arrangement and is most suitable for candidates in London and the surrounding areas, possessing the ability to travel.
The Fire Safety Engineer will be responsible for:
- Providing design guidance to architectural teams and investigating Fire Safety measures for existing buildings.
- Reviewing and commenting on fire engineering strategies and proposals for Fire Safety measures.
- Advising clients on the integration of active Fire Safety measures in existing buildings.
- Producing fire strategies in accordance with ADB, BS9991 and BS9999.
The Fire Safety Engineer will have:
- Background as a Fire Engineer, ideally with design experience.
- Fire Engineering degree or diploma is essential.
- Good knowledge of relevant standards including BS9991 and BS9999.
- Flexible and supportive character able to interact with all levels of an organisation.
