**** Fire Stopper - East Anglia - ASAP start - Permanent role - £32k - £39k (depending on experience) ****

Our client is a leading provider of fire safety solutions, committed to ensuring the protection of lives and properties. As specialists in the field, they take pride in delivering high-quality services to their clients. They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Fire Stopper to join their team in East Anglia.

Position Overview:

As a Fire Stopper, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding buildings and occupants from the devastating impact of fire. Your primary responsibility will be to install and maintain fire stopping systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. This role involves working in various settings, such as commercial, industrial, and residential properties across East Anglia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install fire stopping systems in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of buildings to identify potential fire hazards and vulnerabilities. Assess existing fire stopping systems for maintenance and upgrade needs.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all fire stopping activities, including installation details, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of fire stopping measures during construction and renovation projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with fire safety regulations, codes, and industry best practices. Ensure that all fire stopping activities comply with relevant standards.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to clients and other team members on fire safety practices and the importance of fire stopping measures.
  • Be prepared to respond promptly to emergency situations, providing support and expertise in containing and mitigating fire risks.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in fire stopping installation and maintenance.
  • Relevant certifications in fire stopping or fire safety (e.g., FDIS, FIRAS) are highly desirable.
  • Thorough understanding of fire safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in installing fire stopping systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to fire stopping systems.
  • Good physical fitness as the role may involve climbing, lifting, and working in various conditions.
